Nanda's toddler curriculum focuses on your child's developmental milestones. The curriculum works with children to learn about themselves (self-concept), about their feelings (emotional), about socialization (social), gross and fine motor skills (physical), language and cognitive skills.

Children at this age learn to develop trust in their caregivers by playing games that involve going away and being found. As children s emotional and physical needs are met they build a sense of trust for themselves and everything else around them.

Children gain control of their large and small motor skills over time as they explore through activities provided in our center. Development of these skills enables children to gain eye-hand coordination, which is one of the foundations for moving and doing.

Toddlers construct their learning through using their senses. During this stage, children learn how to use toys to gain an understanding of cause and effect. Toddlers actively explore, and we provide the children with activities, toys and guidance to increase their cognitive development.

Nanda Childcare implements the Creative Curriculum which focuses on your child's development in four areas; social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical. The curriculum works with these four areas and has defined goals within each area of development. Social/ emotional development is learning to trust. Children build confidence to develop their independence and feel a sense of pride. Social/emotional development is increased in both areas of independence and socializing. Children enjoy building friendships through group activities and also like doing things alone. Our curriculum help children improve their hands and eyes coordination and fine motor skills by allowing them to use scissors, paint brushes and pencils when doing art projects. Children enjoy gross motor activities that involve dancing. That is why we have collaborated with Dance Together® to have a dance and music class once a week to help children improve their social interaction, music and gross motor skills.
